FABICash Announces Partnership with Quixant

As the market-leading cash access and cashless solution provider, we are pleased to announce our collaboration with Quixant to deliver the FABIKiosk, our new game-changing all-in-one ticket redemption kiosk.

This partnership with Quixant enables FABICash to bring the ultimate cash access and cashless solution to the industry faster, with the confidence that the solution is powerful and reliable, so FABI can focus on expanding further within the industry with its state-of-the-art kiosk.

Powered by Quixant’s IQON Air 1 platform, the FABIKiosk redeems tickets and pays out on jackpots, breaks bills, and performs ATM and eCheck transactions. With a stand-out 49-inch display, the one-of-a-kind solution facilitates transactions, and the cashless feature moves money into the FABIWallet, reducing the amount of cash that is needed in the kiosk.

Anthony F. Rabito, Jr., President of FABICash, commented on the partnership: "Our goal has always been to provide the most reliable cash access platform in the gaming industry and to put more money back on the gaming floor. Partnering with Quixant has been excellent, as we are equally focused on providing market-leading solutions to the gaming industry, and both pride ourselves on the level of service we offer customers.”

Anthony continued: “The relationship with Quixant allows us to focus on what we do best ─ bring innovative and game-changing cash access and cashless solutions to the industry. Quixant has mitigated the impact of supply chain challenges for the computers that drive our kiosks. This has enabled our continued focus on developing and delivering the kiosk to market, as well as expediting the time it takes to get the product to market.”

“We are pleased with the ongoing support Quixant provided us throughout the process, which enabled us to first launch the FABIKiosk at G2E 2022. We sold more than 350 FABIKiosks during the show alone, and the reception of the product since has been exceptionally positive with sales exceeding more than 500 kiosks. We are looking forward to showcasing the FABIKiosk again at G2E 2023,” Anthony concluded.

Eric Walla, VP of Business Development at Quixant, said “The team at Quixant is delighted to have been chosen by FABICash as their outsourced partner, providing the computer that drives their innovative new kiosk.”

Eric continued: “As ever, our objective is to take away component and hardware availability challenges from our partners, providing customers with powerful, robust and reliable solutions that give them the confidence to outsource this aspect of their hardware development."

Eric concluded “Whilst we are delighted to provide the hardware platforms powering the market-leading FABIKiosk, we are equally pleased to offer unrivalled local support along the journey, which has enabled FABICash to focus time on product development, getting their kiosks to market faster, and expanding further within the gaming industry”.

Louisiana-based FABICash made a splash at G2E

By Buck Wargo

CDC Gaming Reports

For the second year in a row, FABICash took the Global Gaming Expo by storm, this time with the FABIKiosk, an all-in-one ticket-redemption kiosk that’s like no other in the industry.

In 2021, the New Orleans-based cash-access company displayed FABIWallet, its new cashless system with a single wallet players can use to buy in at the slots and table games, place sports bets in the casino and online, and pay at retail locations throughout the casino.

FABICash CEO, Anthony Rabito, showed off his company’s newest innovation at G2E last month in Las Vegas. FABIKiosk that redeems tickets and pays out on jackpots, breaks bills, performs ATM and eCheck functions, and more. The 49-inch crystal-clear display facilitates transactions and the cashless feature moves money into the FABIWallet, a first for the industry that reduces the amount of cash that is needed in the kiosk, Rabito said.

“It looks and operates like nothing else in the industry. I really think we stole the show. It’s an absolute game changer, not only for FABI, but for the gaming industry. Every cage director, CFO, and slot director who came to our booth used those exact words. It’s a game changer in how they’ll manage and run their gaming floors.”

FABI sold more than 350 FABIKiosks during the show, which Rabito called “mind-boggling,” especially for a new-product introduction. “Our existing customers and new ones coming on board were in awe of the FABIKiosk. We expected it to be received in a positive way, but it was overwhelming.”

FABI did demonstrations every 30 minutes and everyone who saw a demo wanted to place an order. “Casino management said they didn’t like it, they loved it. ‘You guys thought of everything,’” Rabito said.

“The only piece of the puzzle that FABI had been missing was owning, designing, and engineering our own TITO kiosk,” said Rabito. “We decided to manufacture our own. It would be different from anything else in the industry and change the look of the casino gaming floor. Everything we planned on turned into reality.”

The FABIKiosk is made of the highest quality components and meant for high volume. It comes standard with multiple features that can be turned on or off.

“We’re most excited about the advertising portion of the 49-inch screen, which allows casino-marketing departments to promote a blackjack tournament, a giveaway, upcoming concerts, and any other marketing tactic to get players back to the casino,” said Rabito.

Casinos can pick the kiosk color of their choice, another first for the industry, and they can have their logos at the bottom of the machine. The FABIKiosks are manufactured in Las Vegas. FABI will install its first kiosks in December in a new casino in Virginia that’s opening in January. Other kiosk installs include casinos in Mississippi, Louisiana, California, New Jersey, New York, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Las Vegas.

Rabito said their kiosks are better in every way, not only in appearance, but in functionality and ease of maintenance.

“We’re happy with our new technology,” said Rabito. “We can make our kiosk cashless. No one else can do that. When a player goes to cash a TITO ticket, instead of getting cash, the player has the option of loading the funds to the FABIWallet. The world is going to be cashless in the next five to eight years and FABI is on the forefront of that technology. Not only do we have the best cash access, Title 31 compliance software, and cashless solutions, but now we have the best TITO kiosk.”

FABI eliminates casinos having to spend $70,000 to $90,000 on a dedicated jackpot kiosk, Rabito said. The FABIKiosk can process jackpot payouts that can be completed in about three minutes rather than the 15 to 25 minutes on others. All tax forms are created in one transaction.

“FABI’s goal over the next two years is to be the dominant TITO-kiosk provider in the industry,” said Rabito. “FABI has always been the technology leader and we feel this goal is very attainable.”

It’s an exciting time for FABI and Rabito said everything his company designs, engineers and builds will always be uniquely different in a game-changing way.

FABICash aims to make cashless gaming easy for players, casinos

By MARK GRUETZE

CDC Gaming Reports

As technology and coronavirus make people more comfortable with cashless payments, Anthony Rabito Jr. offers simple advice for casino operators considering e-wallets: Put yourself in the players’ shoes. “You have to think … what’s going to make (them) come back to that one property as opposed to another,” suggests the founder and CEO of FABICash, a casino cash access company based in suburban New Orleans. A big factor, he says, will be the ease of making bets with the casino’s e-wallet and having as many options as possible when cashing out – with or without actual cash involved.

While major slot manufacturers and other casino-related companies offer versions of e-wallets, Rabito says FABI’s is the “only true omnichannel solution,” giving players the ability to use the same e-wallet to fund slot, table game, and sportsbook wagers in a casino’s brick-and-mortar and online operation. The FABI e-wallet interfaces with most gaming and sports betting platforms

Using the FABI system, players will have numerous options to load and unload their FABI e-wallet. “Casino operators should contact FABI to find out about these options and why we are truly the leader in this industry,” says Rabito. For operators with casinos in multiple states, players could use the same FABI e-wallet at each property. FABI’s Title 31 compliance software also tracks digital transactions to help casinos comply with anti-money laundering laws.

Americans have reduced their use of cash in the past few years while increasing the use of credit and debit cards, according to the Federal Reserve Board’s annual Diary of Consumer Payment Choice, released in July. In 2016, cash combined for 31 percent of payments, the report says; in 2019, the figure was 25 percent. Consumers between 25 and 44 years old – a key target demographic for casinos – were least likely to use cash, the report says. Information for the study was compiled In October 2019, before the coronavirus pandemic hit. A Fed Diary supplemental study done in May noted the use of cash has decreased during the pandemic, but researchers could not determine whether the change will last.

In June, the American Gaming Association encouraged state and tribal regulators to allow digital payments in casinos.

Rabito says FABI started work on its e-wallet about two years ago. Rabito calls cashless transactions “the future of gaming” and expects a high percentage of customers will embrace it over the next five years.

“Gaming is pretty much the last market that has been all cash,” he explains. “You go into restaurants, you go anywhere else, and you rarely are paying with cash.”

Casinos will enjoy fringe benefits as cashless gaming becomes more common. For example, Rabito predicts casinos will be able to reduce their cash on hand by millions of dollars, what he calls “a dream come true.” “You have to see things that you think the industry (will be) yelling for years from now,” Rabito said. “In a nutshell, FABICash has the only true omnichannel solution in the gaming industry today.”

FABICash evolves into a leader in cashless gaming

By MARK GRUETZE

CDC Gaming Reports

Legend says the most famous “eureka” moment came when ancient Greek mathematician Archimedes stepped into a bathtub and noticed the water level rise. His resulting buoyancy principle eventually led to scientific calculations that allow giant ships to float and planes to fly.

Anthony Rabito Jr.’s less celebrated eureka moment came in a sauna. And it is helping players and casinos shift from cash to cashless when making bets and payouts

“We’re changing the way casino and sports betting is done,” says Rabito, founder and CEO of FABICash, based in suburban New Orleans, and one of the leading cash access providers in the gaming industry.

FABI, short for First American Bankcard Inc., started in 1996 by providing ATMs in a variety of locations. Rabito says he was in a sauna that year when he read a Wall Street Journal article about non-banks being able to own and process ATM transactions.

Rabito recalls his first thought about the news: “My God, if I get a thousand machines out there, and every time somebody does a transaction, I make a couple bucks….” The former owner of an office products supply business, Rabito quickly set up meetings to pitch his concept to the presidents of ATM manufacturer Diebold and ATM processor RBS (Royal Bank of Scotland). He soon had his new business up and running.

Rabito says FABI was the first nonbank company in the United States to set up ATMs in locations such as convenience stores and shopping malls; at one point, he had all the ATMs in the New Orleans French Quarter and all the city’s hotels. His first gaming customer was Fair Grounds Race Course in New Orleans, now owned by Churchill Downs, which also is a FABICash client.

“Over the years (FABI) evolved into being the leading provider in cash access, Title 31 compliance, sports betting, and now cashless solutions.”

About 250 casinos throughout the country contract with FABI, he says. Products include:

  • FABICash, a casino cash access platform

  • FABICashless, a mobile wallet that can be funded directly from the player’s bank account, or by a debit card, credit advance or e-check. It works with all gaming platforms

  • FABITrack, a Title 31 compliance and anti-money laundering data analytics program

  • FABISport, which bridges on-premise and online sports betting platforms to allow online and on-premise funding via credit or debit advance, electronic fund transactions, or ticket or chip redemption

  • A kiosk that processes ticket redemptions, breaks bills, works as an ATM, handles e-checks, prints tickets, makes jackpot payouts, and funds e-wallets

Rabito says FABICash programs are built to each customer’s specifications. The system’s architecture has allowed for no downtime in six years and updates can be installed simply by closing and reopening a browser window. “We own all the code,” he says. “And we don’t give (customers) ‘kind of’ what they want; we give them exactly what they want.”

When FABI replaces a competitor, he says, the reliability of FABI’s platform can increase monthly transactions by as much as 23 percent. A casino that was doing $10 million a month in credit, debit, and check transactions could see that rise to $12 million.

And once casinos sign on with FABI, they stay. Rabito says the company has a 99 percent contract renewal rate over the past five years.

Studies have found that ATMs have provided about two-thirds of the cash gambled on casino floors, but Rabito expects that rate to fall as cashless transactions gain regulators’ approval and players’ acceptance.

“We are excited to have uniquely created the only true omnichannel solution for this everchanging industry,” Rabito says. The casino and its players will always be the BIG winner with FABICash.”

Part of FABI’s mission is not just to win and be the very best, but to give back to the communities where we do business. We were raised with old school values that if you’re in a position to give back, then do it! We’re fortunate enough to be able to donate to causes near and dear to our hearts, and the hearts of our casino customers and their communities nationwide.

What better cause is there than caring for and treating children with cancer…with a mission statement that says “making sure kids grow up,” what can be more precious than that? A statement so simple and profound…its an idea so overlooked until you’re at the mercy of doctors, nurses and the community to save your child so he or she can heal and grow up with the ability to lead whatever life they wish to pursue. A pretty remarkable mission!

Through hurricanes, tornadoes and floods, our residents have proven they are resilient, but they do need help. Long-term recovery and rebuilding takes time, money, and is more than just brick and mortar. United Way supported programs with nonprofit Community Impact Partners can also provide food, clothing, counseling and other services to make people whole.

“First American Bankcard, Inc. President and CEO Anthony Rabito Jr. stated “We believe that in times of need, everyone deserves a helping hand to get back on their feet. We continue our focus of giving back to the communities that we do business in and are excited to partner with Fair Grounds to make in immediate impact on the work that the United Way of Southeast Louisiana is doing in South Central Louisiana.”The donation will be distributed to assist the Tangipahoa Parish and Capital Area Region flood victims.

Potawatomi Hotel & Casino Press Release- April 9, 2015- FABICash Donates to Education Fund

MILWAUKEE (April 9, 2015) – First American Bankcard, Inc., which provides cash access services to Potawatomi Hotel & Casino, donated $125,000 to the Forest County Potawatomi Education Fund during an event at the Milwaukee property on Thursday, April 9.

“We believe in focusing in on the future of our children, which starts with education,” said Anthony Rabito, Jr., President and CEO of First American Bankcard. “It opens up more doors. It makes our kids better. It teaches them to start something, overcome hurdles and complete a task.”

Tom Boelter, director of the Forest County Potawatomi Education Department, and Mike Goodrich, General Manager of Potawatomi Hotel & Casino, were on hand to accept the donation. Boelter said these funds will go a long way in helping tribal children succeed and sustaining the tribe.

“It’s extremely important to set up the environment where the spirit can be successful,” Boelter said. “Our goal is to enhance and stimulate the cognitive development of tribal children from birth.”

Boelter added that gifts such as these help drive momentum in the academic success Forest County Potawatomi children have been showing. He said over the past four years, the Tribe has seen an increase from eight to 140 of students attending college. In last year’s high school graduating class, all but one student chose to attend college. This is in addition to increased educational opportunities for the tribe’s youngest children, including the construction of a new day care center.
